Recensie

Heb mijn voorzichtige stapjes op facebook wat vergroot en Stella's tip gevolgd om in een group of storytellers plaats te nemen. Ze wees me op een storyteller die getuigt van haar bezoek aan de storyhut vorige week... Ik ben zo blij dat ik het lied van mijn vader dat ik 'moest' zingen daadwerkelijk gedaan heb:

The Newbies have arrived! A delightful and talented bunch of new students arrived at the School of Storytelling this week. I went to their first presentation evening just earlier (going to Thursday evenings is my weekly fix whenever possible) and we were wonderfully entertained! Some beginners' problems noticeable, like speaking barely above a whisper (the hut was only a third full tonight so no problem) or going off on tangents like the absolutely hilarious stand-up retired postman who was the moderator of the evening. No matter! Under the tutelage of Roi accompanied by Stella they are in very good hands. My three favourites of the evening were a French version of Monkey asking Papa God for MORE MISERY (luckily for Monkey, Papa God knows when it is enough) a wonderful Dutch song inspired by a father's spirit, and a granddaughter's favourite, industrious Spider making a wonderful web (including those finishing half-hitches) but then asking the colourful world around how to get some colour into the work... I loved the voice of the Bright Blue Sky. I will be back for more treats on Thursday evenings!
